This quaint little cafe is steeped in history, proudly holding its title as one of the oldest and most renowned spots for misal in the city. If you’re on a quest for authentic local cuisine, your journey should definitely lead you here.

As you step inside, you’re greeted by a charming yet retro ambiance that resonates with the warm buzz of culinary excitement. Despite its modest size, the cafe exudes a cozy charm, though it may become crowded during peak times, especially for large groups. Here, you are not just another customer; you are part of a community that celebrates the love of food.

The star of the menu is undeniably the misal, served steaming hot with a side of crispy papadi. Each plate bursts with flavor, delivering the perfect balance of spices that make your taste buds dance. Customer reviews highlight its authenticity and spiciness, but they also mention that it is surprisingly easy to digest—perfect for anyone eager to experience the local cuisine without feeling overwhelmed. Prepare to savor every bite as the rich, tangy tarri envelops the crunchy papadi, creating a delightful contrast that keeps patrons coming back for more.

Another must-try here is the lassi, which has quickly become a favorite among visitors. While some reviews note that the tea might not measure up to expectations, the lassi is a refreshing companion that enhances your dining experience. One customer recommends pairing the misal with dahi to create a superb flavor harmony—an option well worth exploring.

Many customers express their appreciation for the attentive service and the genuine care from the workers, making it a special spot in the hearts of locals.

One of the oldest and famous misal serving place in Ratnagiri city. Misal with tarri and crispy papadi is as spicy as it should be. It is just in front of Radhakrishna theater.

This is one of the oldest Misal place in Ratnagiri..It looks spicy but it's very good in taste and easy to digest..It costs 50₹ for one plate..I usually eat two plates at a time ...Tea is not at par here...if you like too much sugar then it's your place

Had seen this place on YouTube Channel Visa2Explore. Misal is very tasty. Not too spicy. Misal with Dahi is very good combination. Tasted Methi Bajjiyas and it was really tasty. The chutney they offer is excellent. The place is in Tilak Aali Ratnagiri opp City pride cinema. Place is small, so if you come in big group you will find difficult to find place.
